Converse is releasing a performance basketball shoe that will be worn on the NBA courts for the first time since 2012: The All-Star Pro BB, which will release for $140 this May in black and white colorways. The shoes were designed in part by Eric Avar who has worked closely on Kobe Bryant’s Nike signature line. The upper layer of the Convers All-Star Pro BB is built using a single layer of Nike Quadifit mesh which provides exceptional lockdown by distributing foot load and reducing friction. On the medial side, there is a tribute to the Chuck Taylor All Star (a minimalist All-Star patch). As a reminder of another Converse basketball icon, the Weapon, the Star Chevron logo appears on the side.
