Initially scheduled to be released on July 1st, the “4th of July” Air Max 1 was canceled after the design was found offensive. Compared to the original and three unique sets of laces, this updated Nike Air Max 1 comes with reversed color marking so you can style your way. A patch with 13 stars around the “NIKE AIR” logo is featured in the woven tongue, and an American flag is on the heel.
Look for the Nike Air Max 1 4th of July to be released at select retailers and Nike.com on July 1. The retail price tag is $140 USD.
